Wrist Musings - Collection Consolidation
I’m in a weird spot with watches. A bit of a funk, if you will. It’s not that I’m having a falling out with watches or collecting, but if I’m being honest, I’m feeling a bit bored with my collection. It’s hard to unpack — I still like every watch in my collection — heck, that’s why I bought them. At the end of the day, it boils down to the fact that I’m interested in exploring experiences with new watches. Thus, I’ve embarked on what many in the watch collecting hobby loosely refer to as “collection consolidation.”
Off the Cuff - January 2026
01/28/2026 - We are but a few short weeks into 2026 and the year has already taken a dark turn. For those of you new here, I’m a local to Minneapolis; a city that is going through some rough times at the moment. I generally hate politics. I don’t usually engage beyond being an informed voter and going out to vote. To gloss over what is going on and just write this article as if everything is fine would be entirely tone deaf and an immense injustice to what is happening in my city and to my community.
A Wristed Development 2025: A Year In Reflection For a Hopeless Watch Enthusiast
Grateful, melancholy, festive, wistful—these words describe my typical end-of-year feelings. I’m grateful for another year, melancholy that another year has passed, festive for the holiday season, and wistful for Christmases and New Year’s past with loved ones, who are now gone, and for simpler times when I had less to manage and worry about. All of these ring true now, but what I most look forward to is the eventual slowing of schedules. As work subsides and meetings get delayed until after the new year, I welcome a few precious days with nothing obligatory on my calendar — time and space for reflection.
